London-headquartered esports organisation Fnatic and sustainable good provider ChopValue have teamed up to sell new Fnatic desks – made out of recycled chopsticks.
The Revive gaming desks each contain almost 10,000 chopsticks, promise to be carbon-negative and aim to be ‘the world’s most sustainable gaming desk’ available to the public, to offset the carbon footprint generated by esports.
The limited edition Fnatic x ChopValue desks have a starting RRP of £835 (or $965).
1,000 desks will be available for pre-order on September 27th 2022, with the official launch commencing on Tuesday October 4th.
Each desk featuring a unique marking to assign its place in production. Buyers can also add their own logo and gamer tag to a desk by using ChopValue’s laser engraving service.
The desks come in three sizes – XL, Pro and Essential – with height-adjustable base options available and cable management systems. Gamers can also choose to add the headset stand and wrist rest. Each frame is of a fixed height.
Fnatic and ChopValue’s joint mission is to recycle 10m chopsticks through the Revive desk series and ‘set a new standard in making sustainable, performance-grade gaming furniture’.
The desks are handcrafted and customised through a network of global micro factories. This enables ChopValue to collect resources, manufacture products and deliver to the end customer locally ‘to minimise the collective carbon footprint’.
